Nashville Vivit Meeting August 2008
Our August meeting with the Nashville community covered a lot of ground. We had a good turn out of about 25 people.
I welcomed everyone and gave an overview of what Vivit is all about.
I think it is important for people who come to the meetings understand that we want this user group meeting to be different than what might be normally expected. We don't want two hour infomercials. We need involvment by the members, sharing information on how they use the products on a daily basis. This was only our second meeting but I think we are working towards that goal and we may have some volunteers for the next meeting.
David Chrismer, HP SaaS Business Development Manager, came from South Carolina to talk about the latest SaaS offerings, how it works, and the vision of HP in ths SaaS market.
There was some good back and forth with the audience and several questions, so I thought it went over very well.
Next up was Tim Chase to talk about what he learned at HP Universe about what is coming in the near future with Quality Center and QuickTest Pro.
I followed that with the same information about Performance Center and LoadRunner.

Finally, we had a short session where we allowed attendees to grill the local HP rep, Doug Bell. I was surprised there were not more questions, so that must mean Doug has things well taken care of here.
We really appreciated everyone who came out to speak and attend the meeting. A big thank you to Healthways in Cool Springs for hosting the meeting. See you next time.
