HP Universe

Sunday - June 15, 2008

12:00 p.m. - They say that getting to HP Universe is half the fun. Our plane left Nashville about 12:30 and took about three and a half hours.

02:00 p.m. (Adjusted for Pacific time) The first three hours were smooth and pleasant, but the last 30 minutes of descent got a little bumpy as winds from the South were a little strong. But we made it. We walked outside to grab a cab and realized someone had turned on the oven and was baking something ---- us! 104 degrees. "But it's a dry heat." People,  STOP saying that. It doesn't help.

We had to go around the strip because they had it blocked for shooting a movie, but we'll see it later this week. We're staying at the Palozzo hotel, which adjoins the Venetian where the conference is being held. We got an awesome room with a great view.

A little while after we arrived, we met up with SHARK71 and hung out at the food court as I was starving (as I always am). We moved from there to Aquinox, where I ate the best tuna sashimi appetizers I have ever had, and we ended the eating with some Italian Gelato.

09:00 p.m. (ish) - We sat around and talked for awhile, and then I realized how long of a day it had been, so I decided to turn in for the night (yeah, I am a real party animal). Tim and SHARK71 hung out a little longer. I will probably never know the depth of mayhem they caused after I left, but you know what they say... "What stays in Vegas...". Looking forward to the Partner Summit tommorrow.
